My inside radio is broken and it really sucks. I drive elementary students and most of the behavior problems are in the back seats. The bus is loud, the heater is running, and the kids don’t hear me. I end up yelling "sit down" over and over. After a few tries they hear me, then a few minutes later it starts again.
I talked to the mechanic and was told the inside radio is not a DOT requirement, so they are too busy to fix it. But without it, controlling behavior is much harder and more stressful.
Anyone else dealing with this? How do you handle behavior when kids can’t hear you?
