Butte County, California – Butte County Public Health, Paradise Ridge Elementary School, and the Paradise Police Department are teaming up on September 30 to host a Walking School Bus event in honor of California’s Pedestrian Safety Month.
A Walking School Bus brings students together to walk to school along a planned route with adult leaders, creating a safe, active, and social start to the day. Families, local businesses, and the Town of Paradise are all lending their support to the event.
Walking School Bus programs offer multiple benefits:

The initiative is funded by the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
