College Station ISD in Texas is taking the next step to improve student safety by preparing for new school bus seat belt requirements. The district is working with the Texas Education Agency to review current buses and plan for future needs.
Many newer buses already have three-point seat belts, and the district is continuing to upgrade older buses over time. These improvements will help more students ride with modern safety features in place.
With a clear plan and ongoing upgrades, the district is moving toward full compliance by 2029, supporting safer and more secure transportation for students every day.
