The Government of Canada is investing in the future of clean student transportation by supporting Transdev Canada in its move toward electric school buses.
Through the Zero Emission Transit Fund, the federal government is providing over $620,000 to help Transdev plan and prepare for electrifying its school bus fleet in Ontario.
This funding will help improve readiness for electric buses, including planning, infrastructure, and operations. Transdev already operates more than 100 electric school buses across Canada, showing strong progress toward cleaner transportation.
Electric buses offer quieter rides, lower emissions, and a healthier environment for students and communities. This investment shows how partnerships between government and transportation providers can drive innovation and create a more sustainable future for student transportation.
