Students and staff in Missouri recently celebrated the retirement of longtime school bus driver Carolyn Taylor, who concluded a remarkable 27-year career transporting students in the Ladue School District. Taylor spent much of her career serving students at Spoede Elementary School, where she became a familiar and trusted presence for generations of families.
As she completed her final route, students and school staff organized a special farewell to thank her for years of dedication and care. Throughout her career, Taylor safely transported thousands of students and traveled more than one million miles while helping children start and end each school day with a friendly smile.
School officials and families praised her commitment, reliability, and positive influence on students. Her retirement serves as a reminder of the important role school bus drivers play in supporting student success and building strong school communities.
